The cost of recovery for your drive will largely depend on a number of factors, and the cost increases with the severity of the damage.
There is non refundable evaluation fee, for most type of recoveries the amount varies depending on the type of recovery required. Once the drive has been evaluated we will provide you a firm quote. The Evaluation fee covers our initial diagnoses of your drive as well as the return shipping of your drive back to you.
We do no work and do not charge you anything beyond the evaluation fee unless you authorize it.
Single Hard drive recovery
There is $100.00 non refundable evaluation fee.
There are 3 basic prices ranges, the amount may vary if the drive model is unusual.
- Logical $299.00, this type of recovery is generally a case where your operating system can not read the data but our specialzed recovery tools can.
- Firmware starts at $399.00 depending on the work required to correct the problem. A firmware recovery is where the hardrives operating software has been damaged.
- Physical $500.00 and up, plus the cost of donor parts. A physical recovery is where the drives PCB board or heads have suffered damage.
In addition to the cost of the recovery you may also need a donor drive for parts these typically cost about $150.00, although we have seen prices as high as $300.00 to $400.00 for rare or unusual drives.
Raid Recovery
There is $150.00 non refundable evaluation fee.
Raid recoveries start at $700.00 and go up depending on the number of drives and nature of the damage to the the raid array. Software raids tend to be more difficult to recover than hardware raids, as most use some for of modified Linux operating system.
Assuming none of the drives is completely dead most raid array's can be recovered.
Blackberry, I-Pad, and Tablet Recovery
There is $50.00 non refundable evaluation fee
While these devices are somewhat difficult, at Gallant Data Recovery we have had good sucess gettting data from them. The recoveries for these devices falls into two price ranges.
$150.00 the device still functions but data is not accessable.
$250.00 the device does not power up.
In most cases with the second type of recovery your device will be opened, this may void any warranty.
Digital Media
There is no evaluation fee.
Digital media recoveries cover Digital cameras, thumb drives, Memory sticks and cards. In most cases this type of recovery the determination of failure or sucess is very quick. Data is returned via DVD.
Return Media
The last cost is the target drive we put your data on, generally we use a size of hard drive that will hold all the recovered data this will be at minimum at 500 gigabyte hard drives in an external enclosure.
These cost between $110.00 and $150.00, depending the size of drive used.
The enclosure is optional, if you are comforatable with installing a second hard drive in a computer you can have us ship you a raw hard drive.
You can however supply your own target drive.
